ready or not, here i come

I'm exhausted. Earlier this morning I took my first run in Staranzano. I found a little road that weaved through the countryside and passed by several wheat fields. It was beautiful. The run was followed by my daily yoga practice. This afternoon I spent several hours playing hide-and-seek with the girls. Actually, it was more like playing tag. I was running while holding Luce on my hip the entire time, so needless to say, Ginevra did most of the hiding/effective running/tagging, I did most of the counting/sweating/feet dragging, and Luce just giggled and said "VAI!"(it means "you go") and "GET HER!". Easy for her to say.

Here is a photo that I took with the girls on Saturday. It was taken on the balcony of Marcello's office in Monfalcone's main piazza. More photos to come...

  1. What a nice view from the office! Ginevra & Luce are so cute - and it sounds like they're taking to you just fine. Good for you for sticking to your yoga/running routine!

  2. I'm glad I'm reading your posts after finishing summer school. Your daily agenda consisting of morning runs and yoga practices scoffs my mundane, tedious academic activities that would read as this:

Today I stopped at Starbucks at 10:30, just 30 minutes before my 11 am class in English room 132. I was almost late! We journaled and I sat through student PowerPoints that nearly put me to sleep (something of which I didn't get last night). My presentation on "Writing with Collages" was a success because I actually thought about the assignment and put my original ideas to use--without a PowerPoint.

Following my three-hour writing class I headed to Joe's Crab Shack for two Southern Spiked Teas (made with Seagrams vodka) and counted inventory before heading back to the Central Parking deck, making sure to park on the 5th floor since I'm paranoid someone will ding my car.

My 5 o'clock class was a thrill. And just 30 minutes since I actually know a thing or two about technology (it's a technology class) and can manage creating a Glog on glogster.com a breeze.

After choreographing Britney Spears routines in my head on my thirty-minute ride home on I-75, I pulled up, got out of the car, took a shower, and ate cinnamon toast crunch for dinner (and I substituted the milk for Baileys).

One book later, I headed to bead, but only after writing a lesson plan.

    ....see how boring that is?

    Lucky you.
